I thought this was cool
Random quote by Bebo Norman:
"I feel like the Christian culture turns so inward that we get turned so inward that we get consumed with ourselves. We end up looking at ourselves more than we do God. We look at each other and try to figure out how we compare to each other more than we do the God we’re supposed to be looking at in the first place." The Christian sub-cultures that we get into, we start presenting this image that just really not real, the image of "let’s be joyful all the time" and "let me put on a smile 'cause I think I’m called to be or else something’s wrong with me. My biggest dislike with music is when someone’s being contrived or not being real. I just be real. When I’m strugglin, I'm strugglin’ and that’s what I write about and when I’m happy, I’m happy and that’s what I write about. The world gets so disheartened by the idea of us presenting some picture that is obvisouly more perfect than what’s behind it."
(Bebo's awesome---everyone should check out his music)

It's been a while...
Geez...I don't think I've posted anything since the end of summer session. This is b/c school has begun again---yes, regular semester---which means, my life is completely chaotic. But that's okay...I actually have a few moments to put down a few thoughts today. I should be studying of course, but o-well, i'll survive.
I should have written a journal the other day, b/c I really wanted to, but now I can't think of why. But that's me...what can I say?
I went out with some friends the other night. It was great. I was the DD, which was fine. Not a big deal, I got to see everyone else in their "not so best" time. It was really fun. I really wish we could do that more often, but unfortunately, we can't. As one of my friends doesn't live here, he's a few states away, and everyone else just wouldn't go for it. But the time we had was good---to say the least. My roomie was pretty gone, and my buddy was on his way there. He's such a little guy...so of course, he can't really handle a whole lot. My other friend, however, she could drink any of us under the table, i'm pretty sure. Definitely someone I would want to have around to party with.
Right now, I'm enjoying the mlb playoffs. My boys lost yesterday...I don't know what has happened to the Yanks this season---they suck. I am actually hoping the Red Sox take it all. They so deserve it after this season. I know I'm not supposed to support the RS when I'm a Yankees fan, but when there is a club with such talent, respect doesn't even begin to cover it. Everyone tells me I should seek professional help---b/c I'm so addicted to baseball. It's actually what I am listening to right now. Cubs v. Braves. I am going for the Cubs in this one. Okay, I'm obsessed. but it's fun. heh. That's all that matters.
Anyway...that's all I have to say...wow, not much for a month away...
