Another day in paradise
Okay, maybe not, but OU is pretty cool. I have been trying to post this blog for a few days now, but I am so busy at the moment that it has taken forever.
First of all, last week was great! I took a road trip with two strangers to Arkadelphia, Arkansas--okay, okay, so Arkansas isn't the most exciting place in the world, but it was fun and my company was definitely entertaining. We went to see a mutual friend and then went to a concert. My friend, Kym, just got back from Nepal and we wanted to see all of her pix and hear all about it. It was great! Then we went to Arkadelphia to see Bebo Norman, Bethany Dillon, and Jason Morant in concert, which was completely exceptional! Bebo never disappoints and Bethany Dillon and Jason Morant are amazing as well. That was Thursday. Friday we drove back and then I hung out in Shawnee for a bit. It was great to see Manda, she seems a little different, but it's good. I love talking to her. I was so dead by the time I got home. I couldn't even go to dinner with my roommate or to the Mont for Heather's b-day. I felt terrible, but it was nice to be in bed before 11 p.m.
Saturday I had class in the morning. I totally screwed up my quiz, but that's okay, I'll get it next time, lol. I ended up going to the football game, which was so fun. My roommate and I went together. We sat by these guys who were totally cracking me up---not that it takes much. I was again in bed by 11 that night.
Sunday I had to work---as always. It was great actually. The kids were cool and nothing tragic happened. That evening was Denise's b-day party. Wow. It was at Rachelle's house, which is very cool, btw. Everyone was drinking rum and 7-up, lol. We decided to play Cranium---which, if you've never played can be very interesting, especially with a group of people who are completely lit. That was a lot of fun, but I couldn't stay for too long b/c by this point I had accomplished nothing for school. Insane.
That was pretty much the wknd. I started a new job yesterday---babysitting, although not really b/c they are 11 and 7. It's just after school until their parents get home. Then last night I got this random phone call from Dennis. Crazy kid is coming to Norman and wants me to meet him at Brother's. It was fun. This guy from his church was playing music. It was very cool. He was really good. We talked for a bit afterwards, as we always do and then we both went home. I crashed, I swear I am going to run myself ragged.
Anyway, I think that's all I have time to post right now. But let me leave with one final thought---from Bebo---"Faith is not circumstantial." Sometimes that's hard to remember, especially with recent events. But ya gotta push through. Well, 'til next time...
