Welcome home Oscar!!!
Well, it's been a week and tomorrow I shall have my car back! Yay! I'm so excited. To celebrate, I'm leaving Norman early for Easter and going home. I've decided class on Friday isn't really that important. So, as soon as I get everything taken care of tomorrow (class, lab, getting my car, go by work...) then I'll be on my way. I'm so excited! It will be so good to be back in my car! Yay!
I'm gonna go see Scooby-Doo this wknd. I hope. But I will definitely get to see Jer play baseball! Yes! I have so been craving baseball. It's finally here and I get to see Jer on his new team. They played tonight, and they won, but Mom said it wasn't a very good game. I can't wait!
Tonight I went to CPR training. It was a lot of fun. I learned a lot and I feel better about being around kids now. Of course, we didn't get to finish the training, so next week we will do that. Josie had to run to the Prince concert, lol. She was pretty excited about that. But training was good and I'm glad I went. I've been wanting to get trained for quite some time now. And it makes sense that I do it b/c I know I'll be around kids for the rest of my life---in one way or another. I'll probably always try to volunteer somewhere, plus people I know will have kids.
I just got back from Wal-Mart. Geez, I hate going there. It really sucks. I needed a ruler to finish my lab report and I really wanted a cookie. So, I bought a ruler and some cookies. Wow, it's nice to get something accomplished.
Wow, it's been 10 years since Kurt Cobain died. It's been all over MTV2, and a little on MTV (surprisingly, they had something showing to do w/ music). It's really sad, still. I still really love Nirvana and I can still relate to their music. I wonder how they would be today, as a band, had he not died. How different would music be today? I heard someone say on tv that music today is more or less like the whole Nirvana thing never happened. Is that true? I mean, yeah LP, Limp Bizkit, P.O.D., and varous other bands are pretty revolutionary, but they are mixing w/ hip-hop to find their sound. Not that I have anything against that, I love LP and the occasional LB song, but it's not the same as Nirvana. Even today, I don't get the same feeling from any other band as I did from them. They were amazing and will continue to be the ultimate in rock, as far as I'm concered. They spoke so many things through their music and said so much in what they stood for. i wonder if he would have absolutley hated the fame that they still receive, even from newer generations just now discovering them. Nirvana wasn't about fame. There isn't enough that I could possibly say about Nirvana. When I see Kurt Cobain on tv, I get so sad about it. Where was I when I heard about his death? I was at school. Todd told me. It was a sad day, which only perpetuates more sad days. He was such a beautiful person. I wish I had at some point in his life had the honor of meeting him. Maybe someday I can go to Seattle to pay my respects. I hope so.
Well, I guess I should stop procrastinating and get this blasted report done. blah. :) Anyway...'til next time...
