at a loss
That title is all I could come up with. I am sitting here wondering where the justice in this world has gone. Yet as I think about the history of the world, and definitely this country, I ask myself another question...did justice ever exist? There are so many things that I am so unsure about. Today has just been one of those days where if someone had looked at me the wrong way, I would have just burst into tears...and I really don't know why. I think I'm just really stressed out right now. I have become upset at the slightest things today. Although, the one thing this evening that truly upset me is not a small thing. I saw the verdict of the Michael Jackson trial on tv this afternoon. I am convinced now that justice does not exist. To tell this young boy that his life is insignificant, so insignificant that someone can gain his trust and then destroy him as a person by one act that changed him forever. This child will never be the same. People are supporting a...I can't even call him human, Michael Jackson is such a horrible horrible creature that should never be allowed to be among the public again. I don't understand how people can look at that and just turn away from it. Maybe I am just a little too close to the subject because of where I work, but seriously someone has to stand up for children who are being abused. When will people look at kids and see them as people? when will they be given the rights that every human being is entitled to? Why doesn't the world care that this is happening? I can't imagine what it would be like to strip away every piece of a person that makes them unique. Taking away the life of a person to fulfill your own pleasures...is he any different than a murderer? Maybe he's worse, because these children will have to live with this for the rest of their lives---knowing that people in this world saw their problems as meaningless. I really hope these kids can rise above this and gain the respect that they deserve. It is just too hard to obtain a sense of worth when the world is telling you that you have none.
